Winnie and the Aeli Health team walked out of last night’s Canopy x City Ventures Demo Night with the People’s Choice Award – and it couldn’t be more deserved. In a room full of founders, operators and early-stage investors, the crowd backed a future where therapy doesn’t end when the session does.

Taking part in yesterdays edition at Bayes Business School were:

Aeli Health: Therapy’s missing 167 hours

For most clients, therapy officially lasts one hour a week – the other 167 hours are where the real work and struggle happens, unseen by clinicians. Aeli Health steps straight into that gap, building what Winnie described as “the clinical workflow layer between therapists and their clients.”

8‑word summary:
Continuous intelligence connecting therapy sessions, clients and their AI.

Aeli ingests data from AI chats, mood check-ins and homework, then transforms that into clear pre‑session summaries for therapists inside tools they already use. Instead of starting cold, clinicians see patterns, risks and progress at a glance, turning “how have you been?” into “here’s what’s changed, let’s go deeper.”

Dentilligence: Turning a selfie into preventive oral health

Dentilligence brought the room into the reality of the UK’s dental crisis – from millions of adults without access to NHS dentistry to “dental deserts” where people resort to DIY solutions. Their answer is a digital-first preventive platform that starts with something almost everyone already has: a smartphone camera.

8‑word summary:
AI oral-health screening from a simple, clinically guided selfie.

A single selfie powers AI analysis of tooth and gum health, risk factors and even nutritional red flags, then routes people into education, virtual consults or urgent care bookings. The team is building bridges between schools, dentists and public health systems so preventive care becomes accessible long before emergencies reach A&E.

Showden: The home for cinema‑first communities

Showden addressed a very different kind of fragmentation: the chaos of deciding what to watch and where to watch it. Today, discovery lives on TikTok, trailers on YouTube, listings on individual cinema sites and conversations on Reddit or WhatsApp – with no single place to hold the whole experience together.

8‑word summary:
Unified platform for discovering, booking and discussing cinema together.

Showden is building that unified journey: mood‑based discovery, social proof, local cinema listings, and community discussion rooms before and after screenings. The vision is a central hub for UK cinema culture, where fans don’t just consume, but co‑create the experience with each other, studios and cinemas.

Greenlit: Finance, sustainability and the creative economy

Transforming how creative businesses manage money, risk and impact in a world of rising costs and rising expectations. Out of that context emerged Pete – an all‑in‑one SaaS FinTech tool designed for film and creative-sector companies.

8‑word summary:
Financial and sustainability command centre for modern creative productions.

Pete helps producers get faster, clearer data on budgets, cashflow and environmental reporting, without adding yet another spreadsheet to the stack. Built from the ground up with industry workflows in mind, it aims to give creative founders real‑time visibility so they can stay brave in their decisions without losing discipline.

Why Winnie’s win matters for London founders

What made Winnie’s People’s Choice win so powerful was how many people in the room recognised themselves – as clinicians, as clients, or as people already leaning on AI between sessions. Aeli isn’t trying to replace therapists; it’s giving them sight of what’s already happening in the shadows of their practice.

For first‑time founders, Aeli is a live case study in building from a real, urgent workflow problem rather than a generic “AI mental health” pitch. For early‑stage investors, it’s a glimpse of a new category – the clinical intelligence layer – emerging right here in London’s ecosystem.

If you’re a founder looking to pressure‑test your idea in front of a switched‑on community, or an investor who prefers to meet teams before the deck hits your inbox, Demo Night is built for you.
